Thinking Deeply about Professional Learning
Good Morning!
A slightly different edition of the newsletter this week as we had the #TDaPECymru conference in Cardiff this weekend and the episode is likely to drop at the same time as this newsletter. The links are all roughly the same as the previous Accessible by Default episode as we mostly spoke about practical application in this latest ep.
To celebrate the conference, we’ve got links to the sessions provided by our speakers and a little bit of thinking I’ve been doing about some problem solving research. Normal service will resume next week but I hope you enjoy this in the meantime.

Why problem solving is so difficult. And why it doesn’t need to be…
TDaPE Conference
So that’s the Thinking Deeply about Primary Education conferences wrapped for 2025, and what a way to finish in Cardiff. Here are this year’s numbers:
3 cities visited: London, Manchester, Cardiff
£4,439 raised for charity
88(ish) sessions delivered
18 hours of high-quality professional learning
1 awesome TDaPE family
Saint Peter’s was buzzing from doors open to last orders. Gareth Rein and the team worked tirelessly so everything ran smoothly, and both delegates and speakers felt the benefit. We’ll be back in 2026, so watch this space…

Listening Certificates
If you are listening in a jurisdiction with mandatory PD hours, certificates are available for listening to TDaPE episodes. For every form completed (click here) we’ll send a certificate to acknowledge your commitment to your continued professional development.
Huge thank you to everyone who shared the post last week. Your support is hugely appreciated. If you know someone who would be interested in thinking deeply about their professional development, share the link with them.
That’s all for this week. Let us know if you enjoyed any of the recommendations or have any questions via the comments section wherever you listen or by replying to this email.
Until next time, thanks for listening.
